What to expect:

- 10-20 minutes later: Kava’s mellowing and stress-relieving effects kick in. Relax, socialize, or keep doing what you’re doing – This extract is derived from a powerful yet smooth blend of Vanuatu Kava, specially selected for its broad range of effects.

The Kavalactone extract works well, similar to the basic kava powder. Perhaps it is even a bit more potent (and more in need of flavorful juice to mask the intense bitter flavor). I tend to prefer the basic kava powder because its effects feel slightly more “organic” to me, but the lactones are definitely effective and have worked reliably well for me over the course of a few months. Similar to the KavaKwik basic kava powder, the lactones are effective, affordable (especially compared to other kava or kava/kratom tonic options), and mild enough that they don’t cause dependency or a steep trade-off in terms of “better mood now, tired mood later.” For these reasons, KavaKwik is my main source for supplement-based relaxation. I’ll probably stick to the basic kava powder in my next order, but I may try the lactones again at some point.
